DIRECTIONS ONCE IN YORKTOWN
Take Zweybrucken Road past the Victory Monument. HHI is at 702 Main Street across from the Victory Monument. Guest parking and our guest entrance (through the screen porch) are left on Smith Street.
You can GO AROUND THE “NO MOTOR VEHICLES” BARRIER IN FRONT OF HOUSE, April – November during the day, there’s a “half-road” chain barrier and a “No Motor Traffic” sign on Main Street in front of our Inn. HHI guests are allowed to go around this barrier to take an immediate left on Smith Street. Our guest parking is on the left.
Or take Ballard Street to Smith Street. The Inn and guest parking are at the end of Smith Street on the right.
RELAX AT 5:00 PM
Our complementary Wine and Cheese or High Tea is normally at 5:00pm. We may be able to change this time to meet your needs. Again, if you will be arriving for check-in later (or earlier), please call or text 757-561-5533 to let us know.
BREAKFAST
A full homemade breakfast is served at 8:45am (unless other arrangements are made). Please let us know in advance if you have any special dietary needs.
DEPOSITS
One night’s deposit taken with reservation. We accept Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, and Discover Card.
CANCELLATIONS
We have only 5 unique rooms- and as such, cancels can adversely affect us. Your deposit and reservation holds that particular room, and prevents others from booking the room.
Reservation deposits are not refunded, but can be used for future reservations.
There is a $35 to $90 cancel fee (per room). If the cancellation is within 14 days of your arrival date, a $90 (per night) cancel fee will be applied. A balance can be used to rebook for a future reservation, for up to one year.
A cancel within 72 hours of your reservation, there is no deposit refund.
“Whole House” reservation deposits are non-refundable.
CHILDREN, PETS, SMOKING
Although we love them a bunch, CHILDREN under 8 are not allowed (however, call for exceptions). PETS are not allowed.
Built in 1933, and as such, the house is not handicap accessible. HHI is a SMOKE FREE establishment.
OTHER ITEMS
We have free WiFi. All rooms have Hair Dryers and IPhone Chargers. Iron and ironing board are available.
The Sun Room is a great place to relax, read a book, enjoy the fireplace or watch the 46″ TV. There are many common areas to enjoy both inside the house and out.
Complimentary Coffee and Tea are available 24/7 in the entrance foyer. DVD and book library. Family pictures galore. No ghosts. Early morning walks to the Monument or down Main Street are the best.
Massages and facials can be arranged on site. Please request in advance if possible.
