Hornsby House has hosted family and friends weddings for over 80 years.

Now Hornsby House Inn plays a central “hospitality” role in Historic Yorktown by hosting private, elegant weddings and receptions that overlook the Yorktown Victory Monument on Historic Main St.  Most ceremonies are done in the impressive front yard area, and receptions in its new elegant addition, The Pavilion.

The Pavilion is an open, but covered, and elegantly lighted reception area.  It has covered access to the Inn itself and all the inside common areas.  Inside the Inn are large commons areas appointed with families antiques, three working fireplaces, large comfortable sitting areas, and a large dining room suitable for formal buffet service.

Platinum Weekend Wedding Package:  $8995

Our “Gold Weekend Wedding Package” includes it all… The entire Inn including all overnight Guest Rooms, rehersal, Rehersal Dinner, wedding ceremony and wedding reception.

The Weekend Wedding Package includes a two night weekend stay; using all seven suites that can sleep up to 21 people. Note, you can also elect to let your guest pay for their Inn rooms.  (This reduces your venue fee by their room rate.)

Friday, you and your weekend guests arrive and relax, or walk historic Main St, or check out the Yorktown Beach with its Pubs, Restaurants, Shops and Museums.  They can walk across to the Victory Monument or across the walking bridge to the National Park Service Visitor Center and Battlefields.  They could also visit the American Revolutionary Museum at Yorktown or the Watermens Museum.

There’s lots to see and do!   Or just relax… on our rocking chairs on the veranda overlooking the Victory Monument and York River.

At your wedding rehersal, your wedding party can relax and enjoy our complementary veranda wine and cheese… It’s a good pre wedding time to relax, enjoy your wedding party participants and visit with family and friends.

You can have your Rehearsal Dinner, formal or casual, for up to 60 people, catered (or family presented) in the Inn or the Grand Pavilion.

After a good night sleep, you and your overnight guests will enjoy a delicious Hornsby House Inn breakfast, good food, locally roasted coffee, and an unhurried time for good conversations with family and friends.

After breakfast, you can decorate the ceremony and reception areas, tour the surrounding area, or relax in the various common areas until the ceremony and reception activities begin.

The Platinum Weekend Wedding Package includes:

* Use of all Inn common areas, inside and out, for entire weekend.
* Monument Grand can be used for bridal party get ready.
* Carriage House can be a guest room or for groomsmen get ready, or both.
* Friday rehersal and complementary wine and cheese.
* Rehersal Dinner can be formal or casual, catered or family presented.  Chairs and tables provided. (6:00-9:00pm)
* All chairs for wedding ceremony and reception.  Tables for Pavillion.
* Use of Pavillion for reception activities 3:00 – 9:00pm.  (Noise ordinance 9:00pm)
* Use of inside Inn “Common Areas” until 11:00pm.
* Two night stay in all rooms and suites.  Breakfast each morning.
* Wedding day activities and reception, 12 noon to 9:00pm
* Of course, decorations and flower arrangements permitted.
* Caterers can use Inn kitchen and Pavilion area for set up and service.  (Caterers are responsible for cleanup by 10:30 pm.)

Also, available to rent:
* table linens, place settings, wine glasses, 10×10 tents, cocktail tables, wedding arbors, ice coolers, bar accessories, outside games, etc.
